My Family Experience with Canned Salmon Salad

My husband wanted to call this Canned Salmon Salad Key Biscayne Beach Salad as it was a family favorite growing up in Miami. Mom would whip this up and put it in a large glass jar. We would place it in the cooler full of ice and eat it with crackers on the beach after swimming. It brings back beautiful memories of a young and innocent time.

This is a beautiful salad for the summer, or anytime you want to prepare a healthy salad recipe. It’s a hearty salad perfect for easy lunches. It’s also low-calorie and nutrient-dense with all the veggies.

I love eating wild Salmon for its healthy heart friendly Omega 3 fat. According to American Family Physicians  “Fatty fish, such as salmon and tuna, and fish oil are rich sources of the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid”.

Salmon and all Seafood are anti-inflammatory and delicious. This hearty salad with all the fresh vegetables is perfect for a Mediterranean Diet. If you like salmon you will also love our Easy Pan Glazed Honey Garlic Salmon Recipe!
