Step-by-Step Instructions for Peanut Butter Fudge Bites

Here are some instructions and photos to make our favorite fudge recipe. The full recipe card is at the bottom of the post!

1. Add the coconut oil and maple syrup to a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Lower heat to simmer for about 1 minute, stirring often, then remove from heat.

2. Add the peanut butter and vanilla to the saucepan and stir to combine.

3. Pour the peanut butter mixture into a mini muffin silicone pan. You can also use a metal mini muffin pan, but you will need liners to remove them from the pan. Place the mixture into the freezer.

4. While the peanut butter mixture hardens in the freezer, place your chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small bowl and melt in the microwave for 15-20-second intervals. Stir between to prevent burning.

5. Once the fudge mixture has hardened enough to put the chocolate on top, remove the chilled peanut butter layer from the freezer and pour the melted chocolate mixture evenly over each fudge.

Option: Top with a pinch of salt while the chocolate is still wet. We love pink Himalayan Sea Salt for that sweet and salty flavor. Place back in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. Remove from the freezer and pop out of the silicon mold. Enjoy!

Note: Store in the freezer or fridge in plastic wrap in an airtight container, as they will melt. I hope you enjoy this amazing fudge!

Optional Substitutions, Tricks and Tips

  • You can substitute Almond Butter or Sunflower Seed Butter for the Peanut Butter.
  • Use Milk Chocolate Chips, Dark Chocolate, or White Chocolate Chips
  • You can use a Mini Muffin Pan with Liners if you don’t have Silicon Cups.
  • Once Peanut Butter Cups are hardened, you can pop them out of the molds and store them in the refrigerator or freezer.
  • You can also spread the mixture into a lined prepared pan and make peanut butter swirls with a knife with the second layer.
