What is Simple Syrup?

Simple Syrup is mixing equal parts water and sugar in a 1:1 ratio over a low simmer until blended. You can infuse your simple syrup recipe with lavender, ginger, or other favorite herbs. This is a healthy spin on a classic recipe. It’s such a delicious recipe you will make time and time again.

  • Fresh Ginger Root
  • Local Honey or Honey of Choice
  • Water

  • Honey – the honey you use will add subtle changes to the taste of the honey-ginger syrup. I always use either wildflower honey or raw, organic honey.

How To Make Ginger Honey Syrup- Step by Step

  1. Put 1 cup of peeled, sliced fresh ginger in a small saucepan with 2 cups of water. Bring to a low simmer and add 2 Cups of Honey. Stir until blended. Turn off the heat.
  2. Let Ginger sit in the honey syrup for at least 30 minutes or longer, depending on how strong you want the ginger flavor.
  3. Strain through a fine mesh strainer.

Store in an airtight container, glass jar, or bottle with a tight lid.
