Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Ginger Root – roughly peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups Local Honey or Honey of Choice
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions

  1. Put 1 cup of roughly peeled, sliced fresh ginger in a small saucepan with 2 cups of water. Bring to a low simmer and add 2 cups of honey. Stir until well blended. Turn off the heat.
  2. Let Ginger sit in the honey syrup for at least 30 minutes or longer, depending on how strong you want the ginger flavor.
  3. Strain through a fine mesh strainer.

Notes

Store in an airtight container, glass jar, or bottle with a tight lid in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
