Test doneness with a wooden toothpick. When the toothpick comes out clean, quick bread is done.

Recipe Tips and Substitutions for Moist Banana Bread
- For excellent results, do not overmix the batter.

- Add a Maple Glaze or Cream Cheese Frosting
- Add a 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts to the batter for a Walnut Banana Bread
- Add 1/2 Cup of Milk or Dark Chocolate Chips to the Batter for a Chocolate Chip Banana Bread.
- Instead of gluten-free banana bread, use a muffin tin to make banana muffins.
- Sprinkle Sugar on top of Banana Batter before baking
- Rub a small amount of soft butter into the loaf pans when buttering the loaf pans. This helps the banana bread slide out of the loaf pan when cooled.
- To remove banana bread from cooled loaf pans, run a sharp knife around the edges to loosen it. Cover the top of the banana bread in the loaf pan with a large plate and turn it over. The bread will slide right out!

Hello:
Can I use granulated white sugar instead of the brown sugar?
If so, how much?
Thank you.
Alex, Thanks for the question. I have never made this bread with only white sugar. You could substitute the same amount of white sugar for the brown sugar.
