This easy gluten-free taco recipe is everything a taco should be! Delicious ground turkey seasoned with a gluten-free taco seasoning and sauteed with garlic. You can also make this taco recipe with ground chicken or ground beef. Serve these delicious tacos with your favorite toppings and sliced avocado. 

Ingredients

  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free taco seasoning
  • 1/2 a clove garlic, minced
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1 Roma tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 avocado, sliced

Gluten-Free Taco Seasoning Mix

  • Two tablespoons of Chili Powder
  • One tablespoon of Granulated Garlic
  • One teaspoon of Cumin
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Spray with some cooking spray, and heat each side of the tortillas until they are warm and brown slightly.
  2. In the same skillet, turn the heat to medium and add the ground turkey. Add in the taco seasoning, garlic, and salt. Break up the meat and cook with the seasonings
    until the meat browns completely. Remove from heat.
  3. Build the tacos by taking a tortilla and adding the cooked turkey, then top with lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, and avocado. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Create a family taco night with a platter of warm tacos, sauteed seasoned turkey, salsa, shredded cheese, chopped herbs, sour cream, avocado, and hot sauce.
  • You can also create a taco bowl or taco salad with tortilla chips. Just fill a bowl with chopped romaine. Add tomatoes, then a scoop of the taco mixture with all the toppings and some warm beans. Delicious!
  • Serve mixture in crunchy gluten-free corn tortilla shells.
