Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thigh boneless skin-on
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3.5 tablespoons Soy Sauce* (we used gluten-free soy sauce)
  • 2.5 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon ginger grated
  • 3 cloves garlic grated
  • 2 Tablespoons Neutral Oil – We used Avocado Oil
  • Green onion, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic in a small bowl. Set aside. Meanwhile prepare your rice. 
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the chicken, then lightly dust it with cornstarch on both sides.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, place the chicken in the pan, skin side down.
  4. Cook the chicken for 4 minutes per side until it becomes crispy and golden. With an instant-read meat thermometer, the chicken should be 165 degrees F. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  5. Pour the sauce into the pan, stir, and cook for 30 seconds.
  6. Return the chicken to the pan and cook on high heat for 1 minute on each side, coating the chicken in the sauce.
  7. Serve over rice with your favorite veggies. Top with chopped green onion and sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Serve with Jasmine Rice and Steamed Broccoli or Green Beans
  • Delicious sliced into a salad
  • Store leftover chicken in an airtight container for up to four days.
  • You can also use chicken breast or even tofu.
