You will love having it in the house for infusing tea, adding it to cocktails, making homemade ginger ale and ginger mocktails, or soothing a sore throat or cough! Three simple ingredients that can add precious, healthful power to your recipes!

My favorite weeknight drink is a Sparkling Ginger Mocktail! It’s so delicious and refreshing. Add some ginger honey syrup to a glass with ice, bubbly water, and a non-alcoholic fermented Ginger Beer. If you want to step it up, you can muddle some mint and make a Ginger Mojito Mocktail! Traditional Simple Syrup is made with Sugar and Water. This homemade Ginger Syrup is a take on this classic syrup with a gingery holistic twist!

What is Simple Syrup Made with Honey?

Simple Syrup is mixing equal parts water and sugar in a 1:1 ratio over a low simmer until blended. You can infuse your simple syrup recipe with lavender, ginger, or other favorite herbs. This is a healthy spin on a classic recipe. Instead of making simple syrup with sugar, we use honey. It’s such a delicious recipe you will make time and time again.

Ginger Honey Syrup can soothe a Cough

I recently recovered from a nasty cough and did a lot of reading on natural cough remedies. Ginger is an anti-inflammatory, and honey is a natural cough suppressor. I took a spoonful of this syrup in tea or straight while ill, and it was very soothing. Ginger and honey together are very helpful for productive coughs in children, so much so that research is being done.
